Good morning! :) I just opened all my blinds which instantly boosts my mood from "ok" to "awesome".
So Olivia had her first horseback riding lesson in two years and loved it. It is amazing the joy that a parent can feel watching their child truly enjoy something. I love being around the horses too, and if I were willing to spend the money on myself, I would be taking lessons with her.
She also had an eye appointment yesterday afternoon, and her sister, Phoebe joined us. Well it's always interesting when the two of them are together in a place where they need to be somewhat serious-- the giggles hit. So the optometrist was asking Livi questions about her contacts and she was struggling to answer with a straight face. I wasn't seeing the humor in any of it, but remembering back to when I was a teen, I laughed at absolutely everything (and at all the wrong times). Oh the looks I would get from the elders in the church! Well both girls decided they wanted to try colored contacts, so their doctor gave them trials. I tried to convince them that God knew what he was doing when he decided on the color of their eyes, but I figured it was harmless to let them try.
My hubby, Santino, got something new as well-- an enormous printer for his photos: Canon Pro9000 Mark II. He is in heaven! He has been going back through years of digital photos and printing out his favorites as we reminisce.
So today is a major garage cleaning day. It's been on my "to do" lists for months now, but I have no choice today. I found an inch of water in the back corner of our garage that I need to get to. Hubby is sure it has something to do with the air conditioning. He did tell me exactly what, but now I forget! It's all gibberish to me. But I am excited to be "forced" into this project knowing how great it will feel to have everything organized in there.
Well, first I am off to take Phoebe to work (she's a hostess) and have breakfast with my parents. They are bringing me a wet/dry vac so I can start my work after my favorite egg white omelet with feta cheese! Yum!
